Exploring Science & How It Works

New Science is a 501c3 research nonprofit with the mission to facilitate scientific breakthroughs by empowering the next generation of scientists and building the 21st century institutions of basic science.

In this newsletter, we publish essays about how science works and how it fails. We profile the people, places, and tools that are pushing basic, life science research into new frontiers.

New Science currently funds individual fellows and provides them with funds and training to work on highly ambitious projects in laboratories at Harvard, MIT, and elsewhere. In several years, we will start funding entire labs outside of academia.
